Atlanta trip

So I am using the font Georgia and the color peach in honor of the great state of Georgia...HAHA.

We went to Atlanta on the 26th and came back last night. Boy, what a trip that was. Hmm...let me reflect...

We drove there and arrived probably around 4 in the afternoon. It took us awhile to find our hotel, the Hyatt in Buckhead. But finally we found it, dropped some stuff off and went to Lenox Square Mall to look for some waterproof boots and furry winter hat with ear flaps for me. haha. Oh my gosh, the mall was crowded like no other. And there were valet parking everywhere and all the free parking spaces were pretty much not available. But finally we managed to find one in the parking building.

After some random browsing through AE and Bloomingdales, (which both had nothing i was looking for) we went to Macy's. I got a pair of furry boots. They are not waterproof though. I now start to believe such things don't exist. ---which is really retarded if you ask me. I think I should go invent some pretty ones or something. Anyhow, their soles were thick enough that i think i'll be alright--hopefully.

I got pretty fed up looking through items with SO many people in the mall. So we left and decided to go to see the Atlanta Ballet Company perform the Nutcracker. Again, it took us FOREVER to find the Fox Theatre but we finally managed to locate it.

We couldn't find a parking space though, but there was a parking lot across from the theatre that charged $15 for the night, so that's what we did. However right when we parked, this random guy knocked on our window and said we pay the money right now to him for the ticket. He then handed us a piece of paper that looked like a parking ticket. My dad, dumbly, gave him $25 at first and told him to give him back a $10. But the guy gave back my dad $5 and took the $20 and said, "wait right here and I'll give you change" and he ran off. We didn't even realize that he just ran off with the money until the real parking official lady came and told us that the person was probably a theif. T-T''

But nontheless we went and saw the ballet. It was pretty decent although most of the ballet dancers weren't that great. The lead was very good though. She was Chinese!!! :) and the Arab lady in the play was very good as well. And there were these really cute pigs and lambs dancing. They were so cute <3

Saturday, we went to Margret Mitchell's house. It was so cute! I love looking at old houses and furnitures. That is a picture of the typewriter and the place where she mainly wrote the novel!!! Plus, Gone with the Wind is of course one of the best things EVER! I SO SO SOOOOOO love Rhett Butler. hehe. And Scarlett is just such an entertaining young woman. The house turned apartment is pretty neat. Their apartment had such a small kitchen though. And the bed was tiny!!! But supposedly her husband was 6'1?!?

Yeah, and afterwards we drove out of Atlanta and went back home. But on the way back we stopped by this outlet mall and bought WAY too much stuff. hahahahaha. And I got this really cool DDR like dancing game but you can upload your own music. It's pretty neat. And this dance routine for britney's crazy and nsync's byebyebye. LOL. i haven't opend it yet though. And me and Liu you went to so many weird grandma like stores LOL. but yeah it was fun! ok i'm tired of writing... this is a really long entry. PICTURE PICTURES!!! haha

Babies and Toddlers are so cute <3

I just realized that I have a obesession with babies and toddlers. They are absolutely ADORABLE. I can't stand it. Seriously. hehe~

Today Max and Alex's family came over for dinner and I basically played with Alex for two hours after dinner. He is sooooo adorable. I wish I have a picture of him or something. He is about one and half years old. He kept on playing with the candy jar by opening it, taking out two pieces of candy, then put them back in, then closing the jar. He did that at least 30 times and found it very amusing. Oh~ the attention span of babies. :P

And today I was randomly browsing youtube when I bumped into the mini dbsk video again and I almost forgot how cute little Kim Inhwan is. He is the mini junsu from the group. But ooooooh my gosh he is the cutest little boy I have ever seen. I just wanna squishy his chubby cheeks. hehe. He also talks with a lisp. teehee. And not to mention he is a such a kawaii singer with high pitched voice and funny pronounciation.
Gosh I love it when he says "trust me" HAHAHAHAHA oh my gosh. What a cute little kid. I wish I had a younger brother like him <3

Straight Hair

My hair is getting a little annoying lately because it is at the stage where it is not so long but not so short after a short bob haircut. And not to mention the fact that when I got my bob I got the chemicals to put on it to make it more "bobbish" but now since my hair grew longer it looks kind of strange. But I don't want to cut it just yet because it's not long enough. Difficulties...I know...

Therefore, I finally went and bought a ...*drumroll* straightener! haha. I used to have pretty straight hair when my hair was long so there was no need but now I think I actually need one. So YAY! I think I look quite nice with straightened hair. My mom's only reaction was: "I think it looks like you have less hair..." T-T''

Anywho. This is pretty much the highlight of my day. That's all for today!
So, do I look good in straight hair or what?!? :P

Reflecting back on first quarter in college

It is now 1:28 in the morning and I am sitting back in my EXTREMELY comfortable QUEEN size bed back home in my OWN bedroom. So strange how one quarter passed so quickly. But somehow it felt long yet short? What an oximoron I know. But it honestly felt that way. SO much has happend since school started. I've met so many new and interesting people and already made a couple very close friends. However there are also some not so great people I've encountered.

Hmm...So I feel like I should list some of the things I find interesting, or at least
worth noting:

Classes

I definitely enjoyed all the classes I took this quarter. Even though I didn't do as well as I hoped in one of them I feel that I did at least learn more than I could've imagined in all of them therefore, it should be the learning experience that counts! :) (although of course gpa is definitely not something to neglect in college...T-Tll)

Calculus--well the first 2 weeks I was freaking out of my mind because we were doing delta episilon proofs. "What the heck is that?!?", "my math classes have official stopped using numbers and only speak in Greek letters" was my initial reaction. It was quite intimidating at first but somehow as the classes progressed, we moved into series and different methods for integration, which I learned junior year in high school for Calc BC. Life was a breeze after that. :) Plus, Avan, my teacher was so nice and extremely helpful during office hours that I began to stop feeling so tense whenever I was doing math. I think I finally gained back a little bit confidence in math now. Ever since 8th grade I have had trouble believing in my self when doing math...but funny thing is, college math actually made me more confident :) I am very happy.

Econ- The class was so amusing because my professor would always tell us what would first appear to be random stories, but somehow they all related back to economics in the end. The lecture hall that we studied in was the hall that the great Milton Friedman did most of his lectures. This class definitely made me even more intrigued about economics! So I'm excited to see what more there is to learn :)

Media and Self- Oh my gosh! I never knew I can learn so much from these two classes! I've hardly been expose to the types of readings we did for both classes and I'm so glad I picked those 2! I always wanted to analyze a painting or film and learn the deeper meaning behind them and I actually got a chance to do it! I admit though I probably won't read philosophies of Marx and Smith in my spare time, I am glad I read those books because it explains so much of the foundations of our society. The complex ideas seriously blows my mind at times. I am glad those are sequenced classes and I get to take more of it next quarter! :)

Friends

I am so happy that I already made a couple pretty close friends. I honestly can't imagine what first quarter would be like without them. My suitemate Linda is a darling ,and so bubbly and cute. Jenny--the person I hang out with the most! She's a third year and just super super nice. Funny how we met. I actually recieved an email from her about selling textbooks and I went to get dibs on them. And somehow after that we became really really good friends! And Ji sook...such a sweet unnie! I honestly don't know what I'd do without them! Of course there are many many others too. They give me so much advice and feedback on things I am clueless about.

And much appreciation towards my neighbors. Those 4 noisy but great-hearted boys. :P One of them, Steve, who only wears Ralph Lauren, is so classy that we decided to throw a soiree for him. Those were the fun times...hehe.

I seriously can go on and on about how wonderful some of the people I met...they are so nice and caring. I am truely blessed to have met all these people!

Boys
One thing I have noticed is that college boys are definitely not mature at all. Or at least the first and second years, which for the most part is the ones I mainly met. Of course I'm speaking in general terms here and of course not EVERY SINGLE boy is immature. But for the most part, they really really are. And the majority of them are such narcissicsts that it's really amusing at times.

I can't even count how many boys think they are gorgeous and every single girl out there wants a piece of them. They always complain about how girls in our school are so ugly that they are disappointed to the fact that they can't even bare to look at us. 2 of them, whom I can't stand, actually takes tally marks of how many times girls stare at them during class. How pathetic and childish?!? Well, funny thing is, I don't find any of being a Brad Pitt! Um no, not only that...they are probably less than the average joe. Sad but true. I really don't understand how boys in my school can be so full of themselves. *sigh*. But enough ranting about them...

On a side note, there was one whom I took a little interest in. He was honestly so cute and tall and such nice wavy hair...But sadly he is taken. *ouch* no biggie though. I barely knew him. I was even surprised at how quickly I got over him and the whole ordeal...shows how much I really liked him huh? :P

Anyways, there are certain cool ones who are really easy going and nice to talk to. And they actually try to be gentlemanly from time to time. So on a brighter note, I guess there is hope for the male species afterall...

Anyhow. this entry could go on and on, but I guess this is a good generalization...it's getting really late anyways. I guess I will update more often now so I don't have to write SO much in one entry. hehe. :P

Good night~
